University of California San Diego is the premier academic institution for medicine in San Diego County. UC San Diego, Hillcrest is one of two facilities and serves as a teaching facility for the University of San Diego School of Medicine. As such, I am able to introduce the role of Nurse Practitioners to medical students, residents, and Fellows. As a Magnet Accredited facility, the importance of nursing along the continuum of care is embraced in all aspects.Samantha, SICU/Trauma Nurse Practitioner
