DESCRIPTION

In collaboration with the CRI Director, the Staff Researcher provides complex research support and writing for major strategic initiatives, including high profile academic and policy articles and major grant proposals. The position will, in coordination with the leadership team, participate in research related planning, design and implementation. Provides high level operational support to ensure initiative events, research and programmatic success as needed.

  • May be required to work some weekends and evenings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Theoretical knowledge of International Relations, Public Policy, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field attained through an advanced graduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent research skills in order to decipher substantive and relevant content for research use. Working knowledge of research study policies and procedures.

  • Strong experience with data collection, management and analysis of data, using web tools, relational databases, statistical software and spreadsheets.

  • Proven record keeping and data management skills with ability to obtain and record accurate information and details to insure proper completion of forms and reports.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret protocols and policies.

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to identify problems and develop innovative solutions and to compile, synthesize, and interpret data and results.
