POSITION OVERVIEW:
In this role you will be the Lead QA Engineer for our cutting-edge Student Lifecycle System Implementation. Working alongside 2 other QA engineers you will lead this group thru the aspects of Quality Engineering from Test Planning to Execution to reporting. Work with our Automation Architect to implement, enhance and execute our advanced automation framework utilizing the industry’s leading tools and languages. Be the voice for QA and represent our function within the project arena as well as to key stakeholders outside the department.
Responsibilities:
~Applies advanced QA Release Management concepts and location objectives to test highly complex software changes or enhancements. Regularly works on highly complex projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Directs the selection of and devises methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for testing and releasing software. Coordinates release program activities and functions as a subject matter expert in release management.
~This position will be the Lead QA engineer for the Student Lifecycle Project that will be responsible for estimating, tracking, assigning work to QA engineers and contributing to the QA tasks from test case creation, execution and automation.
~Main author, maintainer of the overall Test Plan for the project, updating and tracking versions as new phases are started.
~Reporting including the following: Weekly Team Status, Test Case Development Progress, Test Execution Progress and Results, Traceability Matrix for Audit, Defect management.
~Automation Contributor - Work alongside our automation architect to implement, add and maintain the automation tests.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated ability to understand, execute, and test complex distributed systems running across heterogeneous environments
Demonstrated experience with procedures used to assure quality of complex applications during alpha, beta, and production software development phases.
Advanced understanding of the use of automated testing tools, including skill to perform automated QA procedures.
Ability to track and report all work from the QA Team to the overall Project team - Status, Defect resolution, roadblocks, environment, other QA needs
Demonstrated skills and active interest in advising and training others in the use of the utilities and features of the resource. Ability to manage a large project from a task perspective and assign work as appropriate to other team members
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Job offer is contingent upon satisfactory clearance based on background check results.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $94,400 - $176,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $45.21 - $84.67
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
