DESCRIPTION
Under the general direction of the Director of Advancement Data and Business Systems, the Senior Data Operations Analyst assesses and assists in the maintenance of information in Advancement's CRM database related to constituent biographical and demographic data. This position applies knowledge of business intelligence practices to perform comprehensive data analysis for business decision making. The Senior Data Operations Analyst assists in the resolution of complex problems in collaboration with teams internal to Advancement. The Senior Data Operations Analyst ensures integrity and congruence in CRM database. This position is also responsible for supervising and prioritizing workload for junior staff members of the Advancement Data Team, including student employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of business intelligence functions and analytics.
Working knowledge of relevant internal databases, BI applications and tools. Ability to produce reports and documentation.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-resolution skills.
Detail oriented, with demonstrated organizational skills.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with professional and technical staff. Professional, highly-developed interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, flexibility and skills in dealing with politically sensitive situations required.
Ability to train staff at a variety of technical skill levels.
Proven ability to serve as a technical resource providing advice and counsel on data intergriy issues
Thorough understanding of the relationship between data quality and consistency and the broader Business Intelligence process.
Demonstrated skill in understanding of quality service and group process with proven ability to work as part of a team and build consensus and collaboration. Ability to lead, mentor, and train others; willingness to share skills and techniques with peers and colleagues.
Proven track record in analyzing, developing and proposing business process improvements using quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques.
Demonstrated competency and commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Job offer is contingent upon satisfactory clearance based on Background Check results.
Must be willing and able to travel.
Must have access to reliable transportation.
Overtime may be required.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $77,000 - $139,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $36.88 - $66.67
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
