The Senior Data Architect - Perioperative & Procedural Service is a technical leader in clinical applications, collaborates with business, technical, and clinical leaders to plan, develop, implement, and analyze highly-complex clinical informatics systems, and to design integrated architecture to ensure an optimal and efficient user experience and functionality, integrity, and reliability of systems. Provides support to clinical users through knowledge of clinical processes, documentation needs, workflows, and clinical practice standards, when adapting reporting to meet their needs. May be recognized expert of an area of focus of business in clinical applications.
Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues / problems without precedent and / or structure. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training or Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training.
- Professional experience and proven knowledge of clinical workflows, user interface optimization, data integration and mining, clinical decision support, and rules development.
- Advanced capabilities with MSSQL server and related technologies.
- Advanced capabilities with database management and various third-party report building tools such as Qlik and Tableau.
- Five years’ experience in a large, complex healthcare environment, preferably academic medical center environment.
- EPIC Clarity Data Model certification.
- Working knowledge of Perioperative & Procedural Services workflows and data nuances.
- EPIC OpTime, Cogito and/or Caboodle certifications.
- Must be able to work various hours based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
