DESCRIPTION

Involves the development and implementation of strategy and network development across the liver transplant program. Includes hospital and physician network development, joint ventures, outreach initiatives and clinical enterprise business development. Builds relationships with new providers and develops tactics to increase market footprint. Develops multiple methods and services to strengthen relationships and meet the needs of physicians in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements outreach strategies focusing on growth of the liver transplant program. Leads or participates in complex strategic relationships and joint ventures.
  • Builds relationships with new and existing providers inside and outside the organization.
  • Includes hospital and physician network development, joint ventures, outreach initiatives and clinical enterprise business development.
  • Performs site visits to promote service offerings and build relationships with physicians, clinics and hospitals.
  • Oversees or performs highly complex data analysis to drive management decision making.
  • Establish liver transplant outreach dashboard with Key Performance Indictors (KPI).
  • Collaborates with physicians, leadership and marketing to develop outreach materials, key messages and web content.
  • Develop and distribute physician-facing collateral.
  • Collaborate with Sharp for internal marketing, data analysis and collateral development.
  • Glean market intelligence to identify opportunities for liver transplant education and care. Recommend strategic initiatives based on forecast of local and regional healthcare market structure.
  • Plan liver transplant physician and referring provider’s events and presentations with CME support.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for clinical presence in various markets and geographies.
  • Utilizes business intelligence tools to develop detailed analyses to create and execute short and long term outreach strategic plans to expand the reach of UCSD-Sharp Liver Joint Venture throughout the region.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training OR a Bachelor's degree in a related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training.

  • Experience and advanced knowledge of health care industry trends; with advanced knowledge of medical center or health system’s product lines and services.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite and technical skills to learn specialized applications and tools in the field.

  • Experience in managing healthcare clinical operations, outreach initiatives, business development strategy and implementation.

  • Experience and advanced knowledge of health care industry outreach initiatives, business development strategy and implementation.

  • Experience developing marketing and referral materials specific to specialty areas.

  • Proficient in report creation using multiple data base sources.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in related field.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Regional travel required.
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $78,900 - $179,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $37.79 - $86.16

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
