ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

TES is hiring a temporary Power Washer Maintenance Worker.

Duration: These roles are anticipated to last roughly 5.5 - 6 months.

Compensation and Benefits: $23.43/hour. Eligible for Mid-Level Benefits including medical plans, paid holidays, and vacation/sick leave

Location: 100% on site

Available work schedule: Mon - Fri 6:00AM -2:30PM

DESCRIPTION

Job Description:

The role entails providing pressure washing services for campus and off campus customers including parking lots and structures, stairwells, walkways, common areas, outdoor furniture and structures. Pressure wash building exteriors and entrances. Follow required water recapture procedures ensuring no water enters storm drain system. Safely operate a variety of pressure washing equipment including high pressure trailer-mounted units as well as lower pressure handheld units, following accepted industry standards.

Job Duties Include:

  • Semi-skilled pressure washing services for campus
  • Implement water recapture procedures,
  • ensuring no water enters storm drain system
  • Ability to plan, follow through and effectively carry out assignments

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required Skills:
  • Knowledge and ability to use related hand and power tools.
  • Ability to coordinate work with other grounds personnel.
  • Ability to safely operate a truck and trailer, pressure washing equipment, water recapturing equipment and other landscape equipment.
  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the job.
  • Knowledge and understanding of related safety procedures and practices related to power equipment and tools.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Background checks required.
  • Applicants must be able to travel to various UC San Diego locations as needed.
  • Must have a valid CA Drivers License

This position has been identified as a Mandated Reporter pursuant to the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) and requires immediate reporting of physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, or neglect of anyone under the age of 18. It is the responsibility of the Mandated Reporter to ensure that they obtain proper training in order to fulfill their reporting responsibilities as required by the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and University policy, and to complete and submit the required reports to the UC San Diego Police Department without delay.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $48,922 - $63,266 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $23.43 - $30.30

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
