DESCRIPTION
Come join our expanding UC San Diego Health Rehab Team at our East Campus Location. Responsible for Physical Therapy patient service delivery for Outpatient Physical Therapy patients, including evaluation and treatment of routine patients. This position will treat orthopedic patients, with the potential to treat neurologic patients as well if the candidate possesses neuro experience. Completes required documentation and communicates patient information across the continuum of care. Participates in training and program development, represents the department to the medical and general community. Demonstrates competence in the UCSD Health core values.
Depending on experience, the selected candidate will be hired at the Physical Therapist I or II level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy approved by the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association, eligibility for registration by the National Registry of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Physical Therapist (PT) issued by the state of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Less than 2 years experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in a hospital setting (PT1), more than 2 years experience (PT2).
PREFERRED QUALIFICAATIONS
- Two to four (2 - 4) years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Experience working in an academic Medical Center.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
- May flex and float between sites as needed.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $106,885 - $141,065 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $51.19 - $67.56
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
