This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite and remote.

DESCRIPTION

UC San Diego Health Learning & Organization Effectiveness (LOE) is a multi-function division of the Human Resources Department that consists of Learning, Leadership Development, Organization Development, and Learning Technologies. LOE is responsible for the following services: engagement survey design, results analysis, and platform administration; design and delivery of instructor-led, blended and e-learning solutions, instructor support for client instructors, development and coordination of major professional development programs; implementation and/or support of system-wide development programs and processes; administration of the UC Learning Center; oversight of professional development policies and use of educational benefits; and providing complex organization development consulting services and programs as needed.

This position has a 30/50/20 split between Organization Development (OD) {30%}, Crowdsource System Management (40%} and Engagement Survey Administration {30%} respectively.

This position requires the application of survey best practices in the design, deployment, system administration, user training, and results analysis for various engagement, and other, surveys. Incumbent should analyze data from surveys and guide the implementation of data-driven solutions to better support leader and team engagement. Serves as a primary moderator of crowdsourced comments to ensure professional, respectful, and constructive standards of posting and conduct are represented. Collaborates with managers on creating action plans based upon survey feedback and provides guidance on appropriate use of survey platform as an option in selecting most effective intervention solutions. Position is also responsible for the delivery of LOE courses and programs with an emphasis in leadership & management development, supervision, interpersonal effectiveness, team dynamics, diversity education, and workplace performance management.

Independently (and in collaboration with LOE team members) uses and applies wide-ranging experience and proficiency in OD interventions, organization analysis, and strategic planning for projects that involve multiple stakeholders. Regularly works on highly complex strategic engagements where analysis of circumstances and information requires an in-depth evaluation of factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Uses OD professional concepts to resolve complex organizational, group, interpersonal and intrapersonal issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training.

  • Experience in a Learning and Development environment, with platform management, program management or similar experience.

  • Advanced skills delivering training, workplace learning, performance management, adult learning, individual assessment, leadership & management development, supervisory training, career development, and communication theories; and related concepts, practices and techniques.

  • Solid knowledge of the organizational development and effectiveness field. Highly skilled in conceptualizing and developing practical frameworks that describe complex ideas in understandable, usable ways.

  • Knowledge of the consulting process to effectively lead engagements from inception to conclusion. Strong skills for effective organizational diagnosis leading to development of organization and business strategies.

  • Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, project planning, and implementation skills. Strong ability to effectively manage the planning, resourcing, and monitoring of program, project or process delivery and outcomes.

  • Highly skilled in facilitation and relationship building. Skilled in group facilitation includes indicating understanding of the principles of group dynamics and the needs and sensitivities of a diverse work force.

  • Applies strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Advanced interpersonal communication skills and ability to speak effectively in public to diverse audiences.
