DESCRIPTION

Under direct supervision and discretion of the Principal Investigator, incumbent will perform research and clinical neuroimaging scans using Magnetoencephalography (MEG) and Electroencephalography (EEG).

Perform preprocessing data analysis in research participants and clinical patients. Assist with preparation of new grant applications and proposals. Perform neuropsychometric testing. Conduct structured clinical interviews adhering to Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols. Maintain accurate and comprehensive data of clinical trials, ensuring accuracy. Other duties within scope of description.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Theoretical knowledge of biology, bioengineering, biophysics, neuroscience or a related field typically acquired through formal education at the collegiate level and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated experience interpreting MEG, EEG, and MRI data in research participants in neurological and psychiatric populations as with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other clinical populations. At least 1 or more years of full-time experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience fusing MRI data with MEG data.

  • Proven knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability in neuropsychometric testing, both performing and scoring the following tests: WAIS-IV, WASI, WISC-IV, DKEFS, TOMM, CPT, CVLT-II, WRAML, BRIEF, BASC-2 and additional tests as needed.

  • Demonstrated knowledge, experience and ability in conducting structured clinical interviews utilizing questionnaires such as the NSI, PCL-5, BIS, FrSBe, BDI-II, BAI, and other socioeconomic/demographic/screening questions to properly place participants into appropriate categories and maintain proper inclusion/exclusion criteria.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify problems and develop innovative solutions and to compile, synthesize, and interpret data and results.

  • Excellent record keeping and data management skills with demonstrated ability to obtain and record accurate information and details to insure proper completion of forms and reports.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of IRB protocols, consents, etc., including but not limited to knowledge of HIPAA, MOA, CRADA, etc.

  • Knowledge of human brain function and brain anatomy.

  • Demonstrated excellent research skills in order to decipher substantive and relevant content for research use. Working knowledge of research study policies and procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including tact and diplomacy and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.

  • Strong demonstrated experience with data collection, management and analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively. Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize assignments, maintain workflow, and work productively in meeting critical deadlines.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $55,374 - $66,064 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $26.52 - $31.64

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
