DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
Join the Residential, Retail and Supply Chain Services (RRSS) team at UC San Diego, a dynamic and innovative campus department dedicated to delivering exceptional service to the university community. As a valued RRSS team member, you will be contributing to a broad and complex organization consisting of five key units: Housing, Dining and Hospitality (HDH), Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS), the UC San Diego Bookstore, Triton Print & Digital Media, and the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC). POSITION DESCRIPTION
In this role, you will apply your skills in business process analysis, system configuration, and project management to support the Integrated Procure-to-Pay (IPPS) business owners and campus clients of UC San Diego. As an IPPS Business Systems Analyst, you will work with various technologies, including Oracle Cloud, PaymentWorks, Concur, Salesforce, and potentially others in the future.
This position requires you to assess opportunities for better utilizing existing supply chain/procure-to-pay technology, evaluate internal and external best practices, and recommend new and more efficient methods. Design and improve business processes, manage system configuration, and maintain integrations. Additionally, act as a liaison between the business owners, campus clients, local IT, and third-party Software-as-a-Service providers. Work with IT partners and third-party providers to resolve bugs and production issues.
Your work will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the UC San Diego supply chain/procure-to-pay processes, and you will be part of a team that strives for excellence in supporting the university's faculty and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
General knowledge of business and process analysis functions.
Experience in supporting and troubleshooting system integration points between web applications to enterprise financial system. Ability to recognize errors or malfunctions, identify & analyze production failures and to synthesize effective solutions.
Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and understand complex processes and procedures.
Ability to analyze information, situations, problems, policies and procedures and to formulate logical and objective conclusions from fact, situations, data and observations.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Interpersonal and communications skills to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrates problem-solving skills.
Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure, to manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities, and to deal with changing priorities, while maintaining personal effectiveness. Ability to adapt to changing priorities/project scope depending on leadership and campus priorities.
Demonstrated customer service experience and ability to coordinate and work with others to accomplish assigned tasks. Must work collaboratively with individuals and groups from a wide variety of backgrounds and organizational levels, to incorporate their ideas, adapt to their needs and to form consensus in appropriate situations.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $33.29 - $59.15
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
