DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, The Front Desk Coordinator provides clinical and administrative support to the Dermatology Department. This position sets priorities, coordinates work of the unit and assists in establishing new work methods and procedures. Duties include assisting with motility procedures; support of equipment (processing and maintenance); providing patient care support for appointments; scheduling clinic and procedural visits, answering phones, filling physician block times, maintaining statistics, ordering supplies, utilizing computer system, and maintaining referral database. Additionally, this role provides customer service assistance to the staff, physicians, and patients. The Front Desk Coordinator is also required to provide coverage assistance as needed to other procedural areas. Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of third-party payors including federal, state, and private health plans.

  • Strong problem-solving skills by exercising good judgment.

  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands with minimal supervision.

  • Proficient computer skills and ability to efficiently navigate between multiple systems during calls.

  • Strong ability to thrive in an interactive environment, demonstrating excellent customer service skills both in-person and over the phone.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • EPIC registration experience.

  • Medical terminology training and/or certificate.

  • Knowledge and experience in Dermatology.

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $54,664 - $67,944 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $26.18 - $32.54

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
