The Health Sciences Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) facilitates faculty career success and growth through professional development activities, mentorship and leadership training for faculty in the School of Medicine, Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health, and Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. OFA analyzes faculty data to develop evidence-based effective programming and initiatives to enhance success, recruitment, and retention of an engaged, diverse, and inclusive faculty.
The Faculty Affairs Program Manager is responsible for the planning, scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of programs, courses and activities sponsored by the Health Sciences Office of Faculty Affairs. The incumbent is responsible for staying current on training pedagogy; researching best practice; collecting, analyzing and evaluating the programs' effectiveness; and introducing innovative methods and tools to achieve desired outcomes.
Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training.
Strong organizational and project management skills to be able to independently coordinate, organize, plan and execute meetings and conferences.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Strong analytical / problem-solving skills. Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
Proficient knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
Demonstrated skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.
Proven policy analysis techniques.
- Advanced degree in related area.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check.
- Requires flexibility in work schedule to meet demanding and changing workload.
