DESCRIPTION

Working under general supervision, incumbent performs routine to complex computerized tomography (CT) procedures for diagnostic purposes in accordance with established guidelines and CT protocols. Requires advanced knowledge of radiologic technology and computed tomography. Acts as a CT subject matter expert and assists other technicians as needed. Demonstrates and applies knowledge of principles of radiation safety.

Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established CT protocols to achieve the highest quality image. Follows protocols specified by the Radiologist. Administers contrast media orally or assists physician in intravenous administration. Enters complex data into the computer system. Reviews, verifies and evaluates images and radiographs to ensure technical quality and image quality. Performs other duties as assigned.

Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the CT Tech or Sr CT Tech level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of a school of radiologic Technology.

  • California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R).

  • Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography issued by ARRT (R.T(CT)(ARRT)).

  • Venipuncture certification OR Venipuncture Course Completion.

  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • Less than four 4 years of recent experience in a similar role and setting or a new graduate of an approved radiologic technology program (CT Tech) OR more than four (4) years of experience (Sr. CT Tech).

  • Thorough knowledge of radiological computerized systems and applications.

  • Thorough understanding of various radiological systems to include PACS and RIS.

  • Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F).
  • Five (5) years of experience.
  • Hospital experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS * Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $121,355 - $150,816 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $58.12 - $72.23

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
