DESCRIPTION
Working under general supervision, or Radiology and Imaging department leadership, the 3-D technologist works in the 3-D lab to perform image post-processing functions for advanced level examinations such as CT, MRI and others, including but not limited to, CT Angiography studies (Coronary and other cardiac CT Angiography, CT Angiography abdominal/peripheral, Pre-operative planning imaging and measurements, pre-procedural planning (organ volume measurements and others), neurovascular/stroke CT Angiography, Neuro MRI, and others, as needed.
3-D Technologist support physicians, technologists and other medical staff with image post-processing needs and assists with education and competency, as needed, to maintain a high level of quality scans. Demonstrates and applies knowledge of the principles of radiation safety. Contributes to and participates in work organization, scheduling, training, and evaluation of staff. Participates in Cardiac CTA and Stroke Code Imaging at scanner. Special projects and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R).
Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography issued by ARRT (R.T(CT)(ARRT)).
Venipuncture certification.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Less than four 4 years of recent experience in a similar role and setting or a new graduate of an approved radiologic technology program (3D Lab Tech) OR more than four (4) years of experience (Sr. 3D Lab Tech).
Willing to train to become 3-D lab tech.
Solid understanding of image post-processing techniques and specialized software applications.
Strong organizational skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F).
- Six (6) months experience with 3-D lab experience.
- CT scanning experience and cross-sectional anatomy
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work flexible hours which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and OT, if necessary for adequate department coverage.
- Must be able to work and take call shifts at various locations based on department needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $121,355 - $150,816 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $58.12 - $72.23
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
