This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Greenwich Drive and remote.

Involves patient, third party, government, physician billing and / or collections activities. Provides for coordinated processes, procedures and systems, customer service delivery models and ensuring compliance with internal policy and external agency regulations. Manages insurance reimbursement from third-party billings and government insurance programs. Keeps abreast of the full array of third-party contracts and billing / collections requirements. Incorporates cash posting, accounts receivable management and financial counseling for securing collections of accounts.

Provides direct supervision typically to skilled technical employees. Functions as advisor to unit and administration. Analyzes and resolves problems, interprets policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas) and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Supervises staff to assure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training. Related experience: PB experience with Cash Posting skills in a large organization.

  • Experience and proven success in supervisory, organizational, and customer service skills to effectively supervise and prioritize the activities of subordinate staff, and to manage the complex workflow and multiple priorities involved with billing and / or collections operations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Epic system.

  • PB experience.

  • Credits/refunds teams experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $74,300 - $134,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $35.58 - $64.42

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
