DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision the incumbent will support ongoing research in the field of sports science, with a particular focus on female athlete performance and health.
This role will primarily assist in data collection, analysis, and interpretation relating to menstrual cycle phase, sports performance, and physiological tracking using Catapult, VALD Force Frame, Force Deck and Smartabase Technology. The successful candidate will be integral to supporting projects aimed at enhancing athlete health, performance, and injury prevention.
QUALIFICATIONS
Theoretical understanding and practical knowledge of Exercise Science, attained through a B.S. in Kinesiology or a related field.
Ability to analyze and interpret data for research purposes.
Demonstrated ability in educating athletes on menstrual cycle as it relates to athlete health and sports performance.
Knowledge of research data collection and quality control.
Ability to follow directions as well as take the initiative in coordination with the PI.
Attention to detail and ability to analytically assess and compile written responses.
Experience in multi-tasking and ability to perform under stress.
Proficiency in various monitoring technology and techniques (VALD, and Catapult preferred) and performance testing.
Experience with data management, statistical analysis, and data visualization (Excel, JASP).
Certified Strength & Conditioning or Certified Sports Science Certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Must be willing to work occasional evenings, weekends as necessary.

This position is eligible for a flexible work arrangement, which could include a non-standard work schedule, and/or the ability to work off-site part of the time. The employee shall be available full-time during assigned work hours (specific hours to be discussed with supervisor).

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $55,374 - $66,064 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $26.52 - $31.64
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
