This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Lightwave Avenue and remote.
Placement within the salary range is determined by internal equity, relevant qualifications, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
Position will support the Sr. Director of Ambulatory Nursing Operations and the Ambulatory Quality Medical Director in doing Ambulatory Quality work and in pursuing Accreditation Academy for Ambulatory Health Care accreditation. Defines the process components and methodologies of the quality improvement program for the ambulatory care clinics through alliances with Population Health and operational, clinician, and physician leaders. Examples of our Ambulatory metrics being monitored; Vizient, HEDIS, QIP, IReports, Barcode Scanning, Vaccination rates, Controlled Substances and many others. Data analysis to understand trends and propose countermeasures for improvement is vital.
This position will also oversee the Ambulatory Point of Care Testing team for lab, ensuring CLIA licensure and CAP requirements are met.
Eleven (11) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus seven (7) years of related experience/training.
Experience and expert knowledge of the methods, concepts, systems, and operational issues in clinical Quality Improvement.
- RN preferred.
- Experience with CLIA and CAP.
- Quality Improvement experience.
- LEAN Six Sigma experience.
- Quality data analytic experience.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act Full Salary Range: $87,000 - $202,600 Annually
The University of California, San Diego is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is defined as the Full Pay Range. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position defined as the Expected Pay Scale. Placement within the Expected Pay Scale is determined by internal equity, relevant qualifications, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
