Busy Ob/Gyn resident training clinic covering all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecologic care. We provide routine care for healthy OB patients and also care for high-risk and diabetic OB patients. We also provide antenatal testing for OB patients. We perform all clinic based Gyn procedures as well, including colposcopies, LEEPs, D&Cs, IUD and Nexplanon insertions, and pregnancy termination.
Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and ProfessionalPerformance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. This position will function as a patient coordinator for our high risk obstetrics program and back up our floor and triage nurses when necessary. While not required, a cover letter is highly recommended when applying to this position.
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
RN License issued by the State of California.
BART or BLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification.
Minimum five (5) years of Labor and Delivery RN experience.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in diabetes management, preferably in Obstetrics.
- ACLS and/or ART certification.
- Certified Diabetic Educator.
- Limited OB Ultrasound certification.
- Ambulatory Women’s Health RN experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
- Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council.
