Position maintains quality and financial dashboards for the Pharmacy Department including development and maintenance of data visualizations using Tableau software. Consults with end users in and outside of the Pharmacy Department to gather and clarify data and reporting needs for complex business intelligence solutions and analytics for inpatient, retail, specialty, and infusion pharmacy services. Runs queries using electronic medical record, financial, and patient experience reporting tools. Facilitates cross functional medication safety and cost saving teams using Lean Six Sigma Black Belt performance improvement methods and tools. Serves on internal committees to solve business, process, service, and system issues. Supports pharmacy residency programs by building reports and providing data analysis and benchmarking in support of medication use evaluations and research.
Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training.
Thorough knowledge of business intelligence functions, analytics, industry standards and best practices.
Must have broad hospital therapeutics and clinical pharmacy expertise.
Use of Tableau to develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards.
Proven record of committee/team participation.
Demonstrated analytical experience working with clinical data.
Experience working in a large, complex healthcare provider organization.
Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.
- Masters degree or above in related field.
- Tableau Desktop Specialist certification.
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with MS Access, Excel, Visio at expert level.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
