The Nurse Supervisor provides support and care to the clients and maintains professional standards of care, following the ANA Code of Ethics. Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Nurse Supervisor is responsible for immediate supervision of a wide variety of clinic and infusion functions at the Hillcrest campus, planning and performing direct and indirect nursing interventions, and is responsible for supervising, organizing, planning, assessing and monitoring the medical services provided by UC San Diego Health.
The Nurse Supervisor works in conjunction with physicians, nursing leadership, nurses, and other healthcare providers to assure that patients are receiving the best medical, nursing, and psychosocial care possible. The Nurse Supervisor assists in administrative efficiencies through the medical service areas and has frequent independent judgment in monitoring the day-to-day operation of the units with minimal administrative assistance/supervision.

A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Minimum of five (5+) or more years of relevant experience.
Minimum one (1) year working in a charge, supervisory or management level position in an ambulatory oncology environment.
Demonstrated oncology experience within the last three (3) years.
Current ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider card or must obtain within six (6) months of hire.
- A Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related area.
- ACLS and/or UCSD ART certification.
- OCN or must obtain within one (1) year of hire.
- Experience supervising in a large clinic and/or infusion environment.
- This is a 363/365 days a year operation. Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
