The Cystic Fibrosis Program Manager supports the adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Program at UC San Diego Health. The Manager oversees the multidisciplinary CF team including nurses, social workers, dietitian, respiratory therapist, and administrative staff. Responsibilities include accountability and stewardship of human, financial, and often physical resources in compliance with departmental and organizational goals and objectives. Ensures subordinate supervisors and professionals adhere to defined internal controls. Manages systems and procedures to protect departmental assets. Program Manager will oversee clinical operations at multiple locations in La Jolla and Hillcrest and will collaborate with others within and outside UCSDH including the local and national Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Rady Children's Pediatric CF Program, CF Research Program, lung transplant program, home infusion agencies and inpatient areas. Program Manager will also provide oversight for CF Foundation patient registry.
Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.

Bachelor's degree of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Seven (7) years of relevant experience.
Strong clinic / center patient care management skills.
Practice management knowledge in scheduling, customer-service methods, regulatory compliance,accreditation requirements, and / or information technology.
Broad knowledge of patient population served and the requirements for the delivery of services
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN).
- Experience working on a multidisciplinary team caring for people with chronic illness such as cystic fibrosis
- Must be able to work various hours & locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
