Involves the establishment, training, coaching and supervision of clinic workflow processes (e.g., performance improvement, clinical documentation, workflow, etc.) to achieve the optimal degree of excellence and efficiency in the virtual services rendered to every patient.
Provides for internal strategic planning efforts and implementing continuous quality improvement programs. This position will be instrumental in the implementation of flow, patient experience processes, standard work and practice alignment within the UC San Diego Health Physician Group. Applies acquired skills and professional concepts to quality data analysis and/or improvement (QI) projects of small to medium size and intermediate scope and complexity.
Bachelor's Degree in nursing or other healthcare profession; or a combination of comparable clinical education and/or experience.
A minimum of two (2+) or more years of relevant experience in a clinical setting or direct work experience in process improvement.
Proven experience with and knowledge of QI standards, clinical chart review and abstraction, and regulatory requirements.
Lean process improvement experience.
Experience with EPIC workflows.
- Experience using EMR.
- Lean process improvement certification.
- Experience coaching and mentoring others with the goal of process improvement.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
