Under the supervision of the on duty charge nurse, the hospital Telemetry Technician carries out dysrhythmia monitoring responsibilities. As needed, the Telemetry Technician will assist with HUSC and other patient care related duties within the unit under supervision. Additional duties as needed.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Successful completion of Telemetry Tech orientation.
Completion of an EKG course.
Passing score on ICU Telemetry Exam.
One (1) year of Telemetry Tech experience.
Previous patient care experience.
Recent acute care CNA experience highly preferred.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Per diem shift requirement is an average of 1 shift per week per 4-week schedule. Must be available 1 weekend shift per 4-week schedule and a minimum of 1 holiday. This is subject to change based on individual department needs.
Job offer is contingent on successful engagement in the UC COVID-19 Vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral).
