DESCRIPTION
The Systems Integration Engineers will be responsible for low voltage cabling projects throughout the Health system, as well as Data Center projects, Digital Monitoring projects, Shipping and Receiving, Site walks, Healthcare Compliance evaluations, and Camera/Environment Monitoring setup and maintenance. This position acts as the 'boots on the ground' for Networking, Telecom and Server teams, activating ports, configuring phones, and installing rack-mounted servers, so certifications and/or experience in any of these areas is desirable. Additional skills include working with Direct Antennae Systems (DAS), Overhead Paging, Coaxial Television Systems, Fiber Splicing, Termination and Testing, WAPs, UPSs, PDUs, and Network Switches. The Systems Integration Engineers is also expected to have a working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Ticketing Systems, and a basic understanding of Change Control. Experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred, along with working at an educational institution, ideally UC, being the most relevant.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Six (6) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus two (2) years of related experience/training.
Intermediate knowledge of systems integration.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in commercial low voltage cabling.
Experience in Hospital low voltage cabling and Network Administration.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $53,600 - $111,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $25.67 - $53.45
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
