DESCRIPTION

Uses advanced operational concepts and objectives to resolve highly complex issues. Regularly works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Primarily deals with programs and proposals with broad impact across the function, research initiative, program, and/or organization. Develops and oversees the implementation of new programs and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced knowledge of common organizational- or research-specific and other computer application programs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and influence, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

  • Advanced project management skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of organizational or initiative processes, protocols, and procedures.

  • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.

  • Advanced knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.

  • Advanced analytical / problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated competency and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Job offer is contingent upon satisfactory clearance based on Background Check results.
  • The position has been identified as "mandated reporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act ("CANRA"), which requires professionals to report known or suspected instances of child abuse or neglect to law enforcement.

Pay Transparency Act Full Salary Range: $63,400 - $142,800 Annually

The University of California, San Diego is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is defined as the Full Pay Range. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position defined as the Expected Pay Scale. Placement within the Expected Pay Scale is determined by internal equity, relevant qualifications, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
