The Center for Multimodal Imaging and Genetics (CMIG) is a multi-disciplinary group of scientists, programmers, and support staff that plays a leading role in several national and multinational initiatives involving collection and analysis of imaging, genetic, and behavioral data from healthy controls and patient populations.

CMIG hosts the Data Analysis and Informatics Center (DAIC) of the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) study, an ongoing, NIH-funded study to follow ~12,000 children with longitudinal neuroanatomical, functional imaging and behavioral assessments across 21 sites within the US. The major goals of the study are to provide a publicly available data resource to examine the relationships between environmental influences -- including substance use -- and adolescent brain and cognitive development.

Under supervision, the incumbent will participate in neuroanatomical analysis of MRI scans for large-scale, multi-site neuroimaging studies at the Center of Multimodal Imaging and Genetics (CMIG), including, but not limited to the review of MRI images for data quality for the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) study. The incumbent will be responsible for assuring and analyzing data integrity and compliance for capture and storage of REDCap data for ABCD. The incumbent will participate in data management, data access, and data extraction. Incumbent will strategize with key members of the study in the design and creation of new data capture instruments and reports.

Incumbent will create documentation and prepare data sets for analyses. Will require strong quantitative, analytical and computing skills on desktop and server-based processing systems. The incumbent will utilize a unique combination of advanced skills and knowledge across multiple specialties and research workflows. Incumbent will be required to adapt to evolving requirements, to maintain clear documentation of all methods, and to work closely with investigators to continuously improve data processing and tracking procedures. The incumbent will contribute to scientific manuscripts and publications and perform information searches on the internet and through library resources. Other duties assigned as needed.

  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills. Skilled in proof reading and editing. Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

  • Good judgment and decision-making; problem identification and resolution; identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance through application configuration and programming techniques.
