DESCRIPTION

Under direction of the SN Manager, responsible for managing and maintaining the UC San Diego Health ServiceNow application for Information Services. Works with other UC San Diego Health departments to assess current state processes and tools to define ServiceNow requirements, and develop, configure and maintain the ServiceNow platform in order to support these requests. Responsible for the delivery of end-to-end solutions within ServiceNow, including architecting technical implementations of IT and business processes, and coordinating those efforts with IT Management and UCI SN administrators. Serve as the lead in loading, manipulating and maintaining data between ServiceNow and other systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

Serves as the primary point of escalation for the Health ServiceNow team. Ensures system stability, integrity and compliance. Mentors Junior Developer(s) to ensure quality of work and serves as a technical team lead. Develops ServiceNow software solutions and Service Portal pages using JavaScript, AngularJS, Bootstrap, Jelly, one or more Web Services, MYSQL, XML, HTML and CSS. Analyze, understand, and provide requested enhancements to existing ServiceNow applications. Advanced scripting of business rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, ACLs, Workflow Activities, etc. Provide advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting, fixing bugs and conducting root cause analysis. Facilitate and support the rollout of new applications and enhancements in ServiceNow. Advise functional and administrative teams on design, development and overall ServiceNow best practices. Work with functional and admin teams to deliver automated workflow solutions in ServiceNow.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Nine (9) years or more of related experience, education/training combination of ServiceNow and applications development; OR a Bachelor’s Degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training combination of ServiceNow and applications development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).

  • ServiceNow Administrator Certificate.

  • Experience with REST API development.

  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and project management methodologies.

  • Excellent project leadership and management skills.

  • Experience in a healthcare environment.

  • Familiarity with Notifications, Data Policies, UI Actions, Business Rules, Client Scripts and Script Includes.

  • Experience dealing with custom portal widgets.

  • Understanding of agent workspace and/or configurable workspace.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $71,000 - $160,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $34.00 - $76.63

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
