DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Director of Temporary Employment Services, Executive Recruitment Services, and Talent Support Services, the Senior Associate Executive Recruiter is responsible for business generation, consulting and coordination for executive recruitment efforts within UC San Diego, University of California system and UCSD approved affiliates/external organizations. The incumbent must have experience in senior level full cycle recruitments as well as a proven track record of business development.

The incumbent will handle a variety of aspects of business development activities including lead generation, cultivation, solicitation and client relations. The incumbent will work directly with senior level management to develop recruitment goals and "executive search firm" style strategies for executive staffing needs across a variety of job functions. The incumbent will make determinations as to the best method of recruitment and manage all processes associated with the executive level recruitments including contract coordination, timeline/search logistics management, candidate sourcing management, and recruitment compliance/reporting efforts. In the event an outside search firm is used, the incumbent must be actively involved in the process to ensure the appropriate University and State/Federal regulations are followed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly build and maintain relationships and establish trust with leaders, hiring managers, colleagues and candidates.

  • Proven ability to develop strategies and plans to identify new internal and external clients and cultivate relationships for business development.

  • Proven success with all aspects of senior level recruiting including management, sourcing and marketing, and use of recruiting technology.

  • At least five (5) years of experience conducting full cycle executive recruitments directly through search firms or similar environment.

  • Proven experience with recruiting for a variety of positions and a variety of levels.

  • Proven ability to adapt to changing systemwide recruitment needs, adjust pace of work and tolerate ambiguity as well as to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong results/goal orientation.

  • Excellent written communication skills which demonstrate the ability to effectively convey and explain information, influence outcomes and tactfully deal with diverse people, situations and ideas.

  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience with the latest applicant tracking systems and candidate databases (i.e. LinkedIn, preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
