The Nurse Role in the Division of Plastic Surgery will be responsible for balancing a resource role and a cosmetic role. They will be assigned as either a resource or cosmetic depending on the day/clinic need. When functioning as a resources nurse they will be assisting the providers and clinic. Once trained they will also be providing post-operative care under the direction of a provider. The patient population they will be taking care of will be our reconstruction patients: Cancer, burn, trauma and transgender. Duties will include:
- Addressing patient messages
- Prescription refills
- Direct patient care
- Pre-Operative care/education
- Post-Operative Care
- Assisting with in office procedures
When working as a cosmetic nurse they will be caring for our existing patients in addition to building their own cosmetic practice. Responsibilities will include administering injections, performing treatments, client consultations, working with clients to develop treatment plans to reach their desired goals, sales of products and services, and ensuring the safety of all clients when performing treatments. This position will be expected to perform a variety of cosmetic services including:
- Laser Skin Services
- Chemical Peels
- Injectables (Botox/Fillers)
- PRP Injections in face/head
- Client Consultations
This position will require the selected candidate to develop a deep understanding of medical aesthetics and an ability to work with the clinic manager to optimize cosmetic workflows within the areas of quality, service, access, engagement, and departmental budgetary goals.

Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
Registered Nurse (RN) issued by the state of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Minimum one (1) year of recent inpatient acute, critical care, emergency nursing, or procedural nursing or related experience.
Must have at least (3) years of experience in medical aesthetics.
Strong knowledge of current patient care techniques/trends in skincare and injectables.
- Experience with cosmetic services including Botox & Filler Injectables, Microneedling (with and without PRP), Chemical Peels, Laser Services (Skin Resurfacing, IPL, Vascular/Veins, Pigment & Tattoo) & Coolsculpting.
- Plastic surgery/Cosmetics/Dermatology/Surgical experience.
- Procedural experience.
- ACLS and/or ART.
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
