DESCRIPTION

Under close supervision, the Research Associate 1 will assist the Associate Professor In Residence with administrative activities related to the overall mission of the Clinical Research Center, which include mostly clinical science research projects and, to a minor extent, clinical trials. Activities will include arranging for and assisting with human subject research protocols, contract negotiations, funding and budget issues. Activities also include completion of study visits, data collection and management, and quality control activities. Other duties assigned as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Theoretical knowledge in biological or social sciences. Experience performing clinical technical support duties.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, meet deadlines, handle problems, and propose and implement solutions.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to accurately report data.

  • Understanding of medical terminology for screening and recruitment in the context of a clinical trial of investigational agents.

  • Proficient computer skills with word processing, data entry, and email capabilities.

  • Knowledge of research methods and rules of patient confidentiality.

  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to interact with diverse groups of staff, research subjects, and Investigators.

  • Clear and effective communication skills, including telephone, in person and writing.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $51,949 - $61,972 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $24.88 - $29.68

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
