DESCRIPTION

UC San Diego Health CommUnity Care is recruiting for Regional Medical Director - Express Care/Occupational Medicine. This position will be 50% Administrative and 50% Clinical.The UC San Diego Health system is growing! We are actively recruiting for a Regional Medical Director for our outpatient Express Care and Occupational Medicine practices. This full time position will have responsibility for multiple locations throughout the county including Encinitas, Pacific Highlands Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, Eastlake, Vista, and Downtown San Diego. Please note, this position does not include an academic appointment through the School of Medicine.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for development of future Express Care/Occupational Medicine locations as well as quality and efficiency of care delivered in the assigned medical clinics including patient, staff and provider satisfaction ratings, resource utilization, schedule standardization and safety. The RMD partners with the CommUnity Care Chief Medical Director, Advance Practice Providers Leadership, and Department Administrative Leadership to ensure the clinic functions smoothly and effectively.

CLINICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Approximately 7.5 shifts in clinic each month Patient care at Ambulatory Express Care and Occupational Med sites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • M.D. or D.O. degree

  • Current California Medical License, or ability and commitment to obtain CA license prior to start date

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Walk In Clinic setting such as Urgent Care, Express Care, Minute Clinic, and Emergency Room

  • Experience in an Occupational Medicine setting

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care
