UC San Diego Health CommUnity Care is recruiting for a Per Diem Primary Care Physician - up to 40% FTE, who will fill in for vacations/leaves of absence.
This per diem position will have responsibility for multiple outpatient locations throughout the county including Encinitas, Pacific Highlands Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, Eastlake, Vista, and Downtown San Diego. Some coverage will be by Tele-Visit.
Please note, this position does not include an academic appointment through the School of Medicine.
CLINICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will serve as a Per Diem Primary Care Physician, primarily covering Primary Care scheduled physician vacations and scheduled leaves.

M.D. or D.O. degree
Current California Medical License, or ability and commitment to obtain CA license prior to start date
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an outpatient setting
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care
Must pass a background check.
Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and immunization screening.

The full salary range for this position is defined as the Full Pay Range. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position defined as the Expected Pay Scale. Placement within the Expected Pay Scale is determined by internal equity, relevant qualifications, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
Job offer is contingent on successful engagement in the UC COVID-19 Vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral).
If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
