Under the direct supervision, the Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for performing a wide variety of duties in support of patient care. This includes, but not limited to, prioritizing and assisting in patient message processing; preparing/assisting with scheduling patients for testing and obtaining authorizations and records; documenting in electronic record in accordance with regulatory requirements. Performs all other duties as assigned. The Position requires initiative, able to prioritize critical demands and the ability to work in a team environment.
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)- issued by the state of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Recent healthcare experience.
Ability to take initiative, prioritize critical demands and work in a team environment.
Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
- Previous experience working in transplant.
- Previous transplant training.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Epic experience.
- Must be able to work various locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Job offer is contingent on successful engagement in the UC COVID-19 Vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral).
If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
