Under Pharmacist general supervision, the Pharmacy Technician III - Owen clinic will support the clinical pharmacy team with all aspects of long-acting injectable therapies including prior authorizations, medication acquisition, patient tracking, and retention efforts. Pharmacy Technicians in this setting will be responsible for review of clinical encounters and processing of tasks under the general supervision of clinic managers and pharmacy department leadership and staff.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
A minimum of five (5) years of retail pharmacy experience.
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Previous experience working with electronic health records (EHR).
- HIV pharmacy experience.
- Prior authorization pharmacy experience.
- Patient assistance program experience.
- Epic EHR experience (Electronic Health Records).
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
