Under the direction of the Clinic Manager, the Patient Access Representative performs and coordinates general front office duties to include but not limited to reception, co-pay collection, appointment scheduling, as well as referrals and authorizations. Serves as a resource for patients, physicians, staff and ambulatory care service managers. Functions as department liaison between clinical/business operations and administration. Provides administrative support to the Owen Physicians. Other related duties as assigned.
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
Experience with referral and authorization process, insurance verification, and patient registration.
Previous medical front office experience.
- Knowledge of third party payers and experience with insurance provider portals.
- Electronic Medical Record/EPIC experience.
- Previous work in Primary Care or HIV environment.
- Bilingual English-Spanish.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
