This Outpatient Rehab Manager position will provide direct supervision to therapy staff including but not limited to Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists, Front desk/Administrative Staff and Rehab Aides at our Koman Outpatient Rehab clinic. This clinic has a number of specialty programs, including Orthopedic/Sports, Hand, Pelvic and Lymphedema Therapy.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: maintaining department's efficiency, productivity and performance, resolves or escalates daily clinical program and operational issues. The Outpatient Manager will be responsible for facilitating team meetings, leading the clinic in meeting organizational goals, exemplifying UC San Diego Health core values, and supporting efforts to provide outstanding patient care and customer service.
Graduation from an accredited school of Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy.
Licensed in related Rehabilitation Service.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date
Five (5) or more years of relevant experience.
Ability to run meetings, manage departmental scheduling, and have previous participation in regulatory affairs
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy.
- Previous Rehab Leadership experience.
- Experience in Process Improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).
- Administrative experience and completing daily tasks to enable clinic functioning.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Job offer is contingent on successful engagement in the UC COVID-19 Vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral).
If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
