DESCRIPTION

Provides supervision and oversight to leave of absence specialist and analysts. Provides direction to staff according to established policies and management guidance. Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process by which to meet goals. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. For escalated concerns, provides leadership and guidance on leave consultation and counseling.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Thorough knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, PFL, PDL, Workers Comp, Military Leave, HIPAA and applicable state and federal laws. Advanced knowledge preferred.

  • Ability to delegate, oversee assignments, train and coach staff.

  • Advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Skilled in handling difficult and complicated issues with professionalism and sound judgement.

  • Detailed knowledge of human resources management practices and policies.

  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate and problem solve across all levels of the organization.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to adjust priorities to meet changing business needs.

  • Skill in data analysis to generate metrics and create reports.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
