Under general supervision of OR leadership. Responsible for set up, maintenance, and cleaning operating room equipment; delivers and retrieves equipment, assuring equipment is available and in good condition at all times; maintains appropriate supply inventory for items such as - OR solutions, personal protective equipment, and gas tanks for surgical procedures.
Supports Clinical workflow through pick-up and transport of conscious, semi-conscious, and/or unconscious patients between treatment areas and nursing units via wheelchair, gurney, or bed. Lifting, positioning, and transferring patientsrequiring moderate to total assistance.
Two (2) related experience.
Effective written and oral communication and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift over 50 pounds and able to push/ pull a gurney or bed with patients weighing up to 300 pounds.
- One (1) year of operating room experience.
- Experience working in an acute care equipment management environment.
- Experience as an OR Assistant.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Must be willing to work overtime weekends as needed to meet the business needs of the department.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
