Under general supervision, provides clinical and administrative support to the Special Procedures motility program. Sets priorities, coordinates work of the unit, and assists in establishing new work methods and procedures. Duties include assisting with motility procedures; support of equipment (processing and maintenance); provide patient care support for appointments; scheduling clinic and procedural visits, answer phones, fill physician block-times, maintain statistics, order supplies, utilize computer system, maintain referral database, provide customer service assistance to the staff, physicians, and patients; provide coverage assistance as needed to other Special Procedures areas such as call center, clinics, and other procedural areas. Performs other related duties as required.
Three (3) years of appropriate experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Familiar with MS Office. Proficient with computerized documentation.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- High Level disinfection experience.
- MA experience.
- Front and back office experience.
- Medical terminology training and/or certificate.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Knowledge and experience in the GI specialty.
- Must be a flexible team player and able to manage multiple priorities to meet administrative and patient care needs.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Job offer is contingent on successful engagement in the UC COVID-19 Vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral).
If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
