Working under general supervision in Perioperative Services, assists with ordering surgical supplies and maintaining appropriate inventory PAR levels on a daily basis. Sort daily supply deliveries, rotate and replenish stock items, advise supervisor of delivery/purchasing errors; pull and process outdated supply items. Store supplies in a neat, clean, and orderly manner; breakdown and remove cardboard packaging and shipping materials. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum two (2) years of appropriate/related experience; or an equivalent combinationof education and experience.
Recent experience in a customer service role, preferably in a large, complex healthcare environment.
Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to this position.
- Graduation from an approved healthcare training/certification program.
- Previous Supply Chain ERP/MMIS ordering knowledge.
- Knowledge of ORSOS, Pro Click, and Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Job offer is contingent on successful engagement in the UC COVID-19 Vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral).
If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
