DESCRIPTION

Incumbent primarily performs screening and Diagnostic Breast Imaging procedures. They may also be required to perform/assist in interventional breast procedures. Responsible for operational effectiveness in Breast Imaging area with attention to patient flow, customer service, equipment oversight, Quality Control guidelines. Collaborates with Radiologists, Clinicians to implement new procedures, processes that insure seamless operations. Maintains continuing education specific to Breast Imaging. Contributes to and participates in work organization, training and evaluation of staff as a member of self-directed work teams. Demonstrate and apply knowledge of principles of radiation safety. Demonstrates skills and knowledge via competency exams in all Breast Imaging procedures. Must follow Radiology Imaging protocols and policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Complete certification training program for Radiologic and Mammographic Technologist.

  • California Radiology Technologist of Mammography (CRT-M).

  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of computers and new technology such as Picture Archival Computer System (PACS), Digital Mammography.

  • Working knowledge of Radiology Information system (RIS), and Hospital Information System (HIS).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered Technologist for Mammography issued by ARRT (R.T(M)(ARRT)).
  • At least one (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technologist.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include day, evenings, weekends and some overtime if necessary for unexpected staffing issues.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $133,945 - $133,945 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $64.15 - $64.15

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
