Under general supervision, the Financial Counseling Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day staff duties. Typical duties include performing patient account analysis to ensure accounts are financially secured, training new employees, assist with problem accounts, manage FC workqueues, support staff when other FC’s are out by managing the workload, support staff by providing feedback on accounts, assisting with public program referrals, charities and workqueues when needed.
Six (6) years of related experience, education/training in hospital registration and/or financial counseling OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus two (2) years of related experience/training hospital registration and/or financial counseling.
Demonstrated experience and proven success in working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
- Experience with Public Programs.
- Financial counseling experience with Public Programs.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Job offer is contingent on successful engagement in the UC COVID-19 Vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral).
If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
