Position Overview

Incumbent serves as Financial Activity & Control Analyst within Disbursements & Travel --a unit of Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS) housed within Business & Financial Services (BFS). For the campus, serves as administrator of the enterprise reconciliation tool. Manages the tool and performs monthly account reconciliations for division operations. Partners with various owners to resolve any outstanding items and offers advice and expertise on process improvements. Uses technical expertise and broad knowledge of financial systems to develop and maintain various documentation, training and testing during the development and implementation of software and web based tools for strategic streamlining of processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Thorough knowledge of financial processes, policies and procedures.

  • Proven knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems. Demonstrated experience with account reconciliations and financial reporting

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications to include: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

  • Effective interpersonal, analytical, and effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

  • Knowledge of accounting standards, audit principles and ability to coordinate activities: analysis of complex accounting data, interpreting the results and implementing procedures to reduce errors/mitigate risk.

  • Strong leadership skills to provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to professional and support staff.

Preferred

*Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field and four (4) years professional experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
