DESCRIPTION

Manages staff involved in cleaning patient rooms, nursing units, surgical areas, administrative offices, laboratory areas, waiting areas and public restrooms using various cleaning chemicals and disinfectants. Follows established infection-control practices to ensure a clean and safe environment. Oversees biohazardous waste disposal process according to established procedures and quality standards. Follows established procedures for dealing with potential hazards. Monitors inventory and inspects equipment for repair and / or replacement. Manages Linen Services operations and staff lab coat ordering.

Under direction, responsible for the supervision and coordination of custodial operations for an assigned area. Instructs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines and procedures. May perform custodial duties part of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of three (3+) or more years of relevant experience.

  • Experience and proven success in working knowledge in custodial and housekeeping services.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.

  • Healthcare setting.

  • Blood born pathogen and sharps disposal training.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
