DESCRIPTION
Involves the clinical practice, operation and management of the non-invasive cardiovascularservice areas. Involves achieving high practice standards, pursues and maintains applicable accreditations within echocardiography. Functions as part of interdisciplinary team, working across the full continuum of care. Incumbent focus is on assisting Non-Invasive Imaging Manager with the day to day operation oversight, personnel duties, including hiring, evaluating, scheduling and coaching. Incumbent provides direction, education and program development for advanced technologies. Incumbent performs echocardiography at expert level. Develops and implements imaging protocols for the various types of cardiac imaging exams. Floats to labs and other clinic locations as needed. Incumbent will coordinate daily workflow and staff assignments for consistent operations.
Provides direct supervision typically to professionals or skilled technical employees. Functions as advisor to unit and administration. Analyzes and resolves problems, interprets policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas) and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Supervises staff to assure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives. Supervises staff performing echocardiograms. Oversees employees, enforces policies and procedures and monitors productivity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of a school of an accredited Diagnostic Cardiac Medical Sonography program or equivalent years of experience. CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
A minimum of five (5+) or more years of relevant experience.
Experience within an Acute large hospital setting.
Experience and proven success in relevant cardiovascular services. Ability to apply principles to procedures in an acute care setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with ultrasound enhancement agents, perfusion imaging.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
- Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $78,900 - $179,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $37.79 - $86.16
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
