DESCRIPTION
TES is searching for a Dietitian Specialist to provide guidance and direction to Dietitians, Dietetic technicians, and to mentor Dietetic interns and students.
Through experience in integrative nutrition, holistic health, functional nutrition, and/or natural medicine, this position will serve as an expert-level Dietitian for a large specialized area within UC San Diego.
The Dietitian Specialist will be assigned full research, professional and administrative responsibility for a large dietary program. By applying professional knowledge in scientific nutrition, the Dietitian Specialist will act as first assistant to the Chief of Medical Nutrition and will have operational responsibility for integrative nutrition research, one-on-one nutrition services, and group nutrition classes. This position will also function in an academic setting, teaching and conducting research to enhance clinical nutrition services.
This position will serve as a designated nutrition and diet specialist for nutrition research projects and clinical care.
This position will have a hybrid work arrangement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed Registered Dietitian in the state of California.
Bachelor’s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
One (1) to Five (5) years of relevant experience.
Master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $59,700 - $124,300 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $28.59 - $59.53
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
Job offer is contingent on successful engagement in the UC COVID-19 Vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral).
