DESCRIPTION

Working under the general supervision or Radiology and Imaging department leadership, the 3D technologist works in the 3D lab to perform image post-processing functions for advanced level examinations such as CT, MRI and others, including but not limited to CT Angiography studies (Coronary and other cardiac CT Angiography, CT Angiography abdominal/peripheral, Pre-operative planning imaging and measurements, pre-procedural planning (organ volume measurements and others) neurovascular/stroke CT Angiography, Neuro MRI and others as needed.

3D Technologist support physicians, technologists and other medical staff with image post-processing needs and assists with education and competency as needed to maintain a high level of quality scans. Demonstrates and applies knowledge of the principles of radiation safety. Contributes to and participates in work organization, scheduling, training and evaluation of staff. Participates in Cardiac CTA and Stroke Code Imaging at scanner. Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Depending on experience, the selected candidate will be hired at the CT Tech or Sr.CT Tech level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of a school of radiologic Technology.

  • California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R).

  • Venipuncture certification.

  • Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography issued by ARRT (R.T(CT)(ARRT)) at time of hire or commitment to obtain w/in 6 months of hire.

  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • Less than four 4 years of recent experience in a similar role and setting or a new graduate of an approved radiologic technology program (CT Tech) OR more than four (4) years of experience (Sr. CT Tech).

  • Willing to train to become a 3-D Technologist.

  • Thorough knowledge of radiological computerized systems and applications.

  • Thorough understanding of various radiological systems to include PACS and RIS.

  • Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F).
  • Six (6) months of 3-D lab or related experience
  • Hospital experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
