DESCRIPTION

Coordinates with UC San Diego Health Marketing and Communications to develop and manage a program for the Family Houses (Bannister Family House and La Jolla Family House) with moderately complex communications requirements. The communications program includes written, visual, digital and electronic communications. Works with the Director to develop and execute organizational communication and market branding strategy. Designs and implements campaigns for marketing and fundraising efforts including newsletters, direct mailings, invitations and crowdfunding. Input donor database and updates with UC San Diego Advancement/Foundation programs. Researches, reviews and implements applications for grant submissions. Assist with stewardship and donor-related programs/events. Responsible for all print, media and communication aspects for the annual golf tournament. Liaison with UC San Diego Health Marketing & Communications department and Advancement partners.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Seven years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three years of related experience in marketing and/or communications.

  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal communications.

  • Demonstrated experience and proven success in strategic planning, technical aspects and requirements of various venues, and most appropriate and effective applications.

  • Experience using computer applications for web production, image handling, publishing and design, illustration, presentation preparation, animation, web interaction, and/or other state-of-the-art web communication capabilities.

  • Knowledge and skills to advise and consult with management to ensure delivery of the desired message to the target and/or broad general audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with UCSD Marketing applications and databases.

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
