This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Moores Cancer Center and remote.
DESCRIPTION
This position reports to the Department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences' Senior System Administrator. This IT analyst role encompasses application support, data analytics, server maintenance, interoperability, vendor relationship management and end user support.
APPLICATION SUPPORT:
Responsibilities include user administration, database administration, and data analytics/reporting for various applications used in Radiation Oncology. The primary application is Aria but others include: MIM, Ethos, Vision RT, Radformation, Brachy Vision, Adaptiiv, GE Advantage, Life Image, IMSure. Also responsible for clinical application deployment for thick and thin clients for these applications. Assists senior administrator with documentation template changes and various database/application customization tasks. Assists in deployment and maintenance of new clinical technologies. Deployment and support for out of box applications including MS Office, SAS, MatLab and others.
SERVER MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT:
Administering and maintaining windows 2012-2022 servers hosting IIS, Sybase SQL server, MS SharePoint, terminal server and network-attached-storage connected to both the UCSD campus and UCSD healthcare networks. Perform systems analysis, systems hardware/software configuration and maintenance, systems and applications program installation, systems administration, programming, peripheral device installation and maintenance,Troubleshooting and repair for windows and UNIX platforms. Analyze, specify, design and execute software to address a variety of problems and tasks. Includes work with complex, advanced systems and networks in a clinical and academic environment.
VENDOR RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT/COLLABORATIONS:
Responsibilities include coordination with vendors on hardware/network needs in the clinical areas. This roles acts as the primary point person for vendor interactions with our computer systems as it relates to installations, swaps, upgrades. This Analyst must investigate and conduct research to prepare/develop Requests For Proposals (RFP) to help management decide on which new equipment or systems to purchase.

Maintain application interoperability between related systems
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training. Related experience: Experience working in Healthcare I.T. that includes user, database, and/or applications administration.
Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
Demonstrated ability to provide expert consultative guidance and direction on change initiatives affecting clinical care processes.
Demonstrated ability in workflow and data analysis and design techniques, including needs assessment, specification development, quantitative methods, planning and gap analysis
Ability to effectively utilize system tools to meet functionality needs of users
Ability to plan and organize day-to-day activities along with short and long-term projects; in-depth knowledge of organizational and project planning processes and ability to produce and maintain high quality planning documents
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two years database administration, programming or data analytics experience preferably in a large, complex Healthcare environment.
Possess a high-level of clinical judgment, technical skills, creativity, organizational and project management abilities.
Proven expert knowledge of computer systems analysis and debugging methods, and current techniques for troubleshooting applications, network and system problems.
Aria / Radiation Oncology experience.
Epic knowledge, Ambulatory.
Knowledge of HL7 and/or FHIR.
Project Planning experience.
Expert knowledge of all MS Office products.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $94,400 - $176,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $45.21 - $84.67
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
